How does it work?

In the case of a general re stucco project, your existing stucco finish is sandblasted, with the brown coat "leveling coat" applied as usual (with the exception of the area designated for tile which is NOT darbied
to a smooth finish, but left in the fashion of a standard "scratch coat"). The stone veneer brick is then secured to the roughed brown coat substrate using an approved mortar. This can then be grouted if
desired or applicable. The remaining areas of brown coat are then finished in your choice of stucco texture.

In the case of a full lath stucco project, the areas are covered with building paper and lath as usual. This will obviously require an inspection by the city before a standard scratch coat is applied. It is to this scratch coat that the stone veneer brick is again attached with an approved mortar and grouted if desired or applicable. The remaining areas of scratch coat substrate will then be "browned" in anticipation of the final stucco color coat in your stucco texture of choice.
